Annual Savannah Children Book Fest

2012 Savannah Children's Book Festival

Held right in our front yard, Forsyth Park! FREE to the public, and this event brings in a great family crowd every year with hands-on FUN activities, in-person book authors and illustrators will be there to talk with visitors and sign books, and the whole event makes great efforts to encourage our youth to read and be inspired!!

Times: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dates: Nov 10, 2012
Website: liveoakpl.org
Phone: 912.652.3605

The free festival will also include authors and illustrators from throughout the Low Country and Southeast region, arts and crafts, costumed characters, a graphic/comics area, and a variety of food and entertainment. In addition, a book walk will be staged among the trees so families may enjoy a story together reading from one page to the next throughout the park. This year’s book walk selection is the bestselling "How Rocket Learned to Read," and a special morning reading will be led by the book’s author, Tad Hills.
